Well, not really to Georgia. I placed an ad for free roosters and a gentleman who was originally from Georgia called me up and said he'd take them all. Thank goodness, because my hens were getting WAY too much loving.
Looks like egg production is up, pulled 14 eggs from the coop today. Usually after changing their environment, chickens get stressed and don't lay nearly as much, but they're poppin' them out faster than I can sell them now!
Erin's talking about possibly raising goats and/or pigs. Pigs could be interesting. Goats...well...I've never raised them, but I have had articles of clothing chewed on by them. I'm wondering if they're more trouble than they're worth, or if we could make goats milk products (soap and such).
Either way, I'm looking forward to turning the farm back into a farm. It'll be nice with a bunch of animals around!
